December 2012
SMILES — 2012
11,034
The highlight of almost every December is the arrival and distribution of the “Smiles”. Thanks to God’s blessing of your support 11,034 “Smiles” came to Nicaragua this year. Both containers arrived and over 90% of the “Smiles” were distributed by the 25th. A special thanks to the folks at Highway and Dothan who were responsible for the containers, to all our staff in Nicaragua for their work in this effort and especially to Luis Prado and Luis Garcia and their work. Luis Prado received all the request and Luis Garcia was responsible for the distribution.
This year we were able to give to over 125 congregations, 29 schools and 3 special requests. I could say a lot more about this project but I think pictures do much better than words.
IPO (Institute for Preparation of Workers had four graduated this month and we look forward to starting 2013 with 6 locations of IPO with over 300 students and name change, IPONOC (Institute of Preparation of Worker North and West) Please keep this in your prayers.
We were very proud of Marwell who graduated from High School in December. He has received a scholarship to the University and his goal is to be an English teacher.
Escuelita de Misión Para Cristo (Schools of Misión Para Cristo) finished the 2012 school year in December and it was a special time to share in many of graduations from pre-school and those in the 6th grade.
We finished the year with 29 school and over 2,000 children. School starts again February 11 in Nicaragua.
Be in touch with us on exciting new things being planned in 2013 including the develop-ment of a Specialty Clinic, building “A Field of Dreams” in Pantasma and the expansion of IPONOC.
